Sophomore Myriam Kebtane has created a club where bookworms and students who are interested in getting back to reading are welcome. Meetings will be held once a month with a new book every month. The book club will explore a diverse range of genres, guided by club member choice. 

Kebtane said,  “I was missing the book club at my previous school and thought that Piedmont had one. I was surprised to learn that there was not one, and so I decided to fill the void I saw.” 

On Thursday, December 2, club members chose the first book – Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.  The club meets on the first Thursday of each month for one hour.

The next meeting will be Thursday, January 6 after school in the auditorium.  Contact adviser Marissa Hertzfeld or Kebtane for information if you are interested in joining.
