Get your tickets and make your reservations now!

Piedmont’s Junior and Senior prom is right around the corner on April 30 from 8:00 to midnight and will be held at the Union County Agricultural Center Ballroom. Ticket pricing will increase to $60.00 on April 11 and will last through April 29. It might seem far away, but you should make plans sooner than later. Restaurant reservations will book up!

I am excited about prom as this is my first year as the prom sponsor and so far the students I have worked with on the prom committee have impressed me with their desire to make this a memorable event for all students,” said Erica Floyd, a CTE teacher, and prom advisor. “Planning the prom is a big task that takes many people to put the prom together. [The prom committe] has worked hard to create the theme, vote on how to decorate and plan for this event.”

The theme for the prom was announced Thursday, March 24 and it’s Hollywood! “We’ve been planning this since September,” said Janet Smith, English teacher.

Prom has something for everyone. Plenty of delicious appetizers and desserts will be served. “Students love the photo booth and taking pictures with their friends,” said Smith. “We have a great DJ that really helps to get the crowd going!”

In need of a prom dress? Piedmont has their very own prom closet located in the gym lobby. There are gently used prom dresses and accessories inside just waiting to be discovered. “The Prom Closet is a great opportunity for students to be able to get a dress/prom attire,” said Floyd. Feel free to go take a look for yourself during your lunch. The prom closet is open through spring break.
