FFA
FFA is a student-led organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
But trust me, it’s not just cows and plows! Through FFA, you learn countless leadership skills as well as participate in various activities such as conventions and competitions.
Piedmont FFA is lucky to have 2 amazing advisors, Ag teachers Laura Gardner and Kelly Barbee. You can find them, as well as all things ag-related, in the H building.
We have nine officers who work together to plan events such as meetings and service activities. Our meetings are always the second Tuesday of every month. We even feed you!
I highly encourage everyone to join FFA, regardless of if they want a career in agriculture or not. Our generation is the future of agriculture, and without it we have absolutely nothing. Not even crayons!
To get involved, sign up for an agricultural class! You can choose from classes such as Animal Science, Horticulture, or Ag Mechanics. Taking one of these classes makes you eligible to be an FFA member. Just pay your $15 dues at the beginning of the year.
Overall, FFA is an outstanding organization that prepares you for the future. If you have any questions, please reach out to one of our advisors, me, or another officer.
